We were able to see some ocean wonders at Sea World (however, one of the highlights of our trip was seeing dolphins in the wild at the beach in Coronado. Very cool!).

So much for updates!
Sorry that I didn't post any updates as promised. Instead of dragging it out, here are some snippets of our 5 week stay in Southern California.

There was A LOT of pool time, just hanging out, and being together as a family.
We are now home (after another grueling 26 hour road trip) and getting ready for school to start on Monday!

The kids will probably remember this summer as the summer in California, which is pretty cool.

love the drive story from the previous post... I drove with the girls in late July/August to WI by myself... it wasn't 27 hours but it was 1030 miles door to door each way... my whole goal was to have fun... it couldn't have gone better... I wanted them to say "remember the summer we drove with Mom's to Grandma and Grandpa's... wasn't that just a blast" -- last weekend, I went home for my Mom's 75th birthday and at one point the girls where going to come with me and Eleanor said "awesome, do we get to drive again? " apparently, my goal was accomplished but it meant so much to me to hear it from them...
