For anyone who has had the pleasure of eating a meal with our family you are familiar with what Taryn does when she eats. We aren't exactly sure why, but for as long as she has been eating by herself, she hums. She doesn't hum a particular song, she just hums. On the rare occasion that I get to sleep in, I can tell when she's eating breakfast because I can hear the humming all the way up the stairs. I thought I would share this little video clip with you so you can see what I'm talking about. At least when she's humming we know she's a satisfied customer! Wonder when she will realize that no one else is humming along with her?

I've been waiting for that video for months--ever since Christmas when I experienced her humming first hand! I hope she doesn't grow out of it in the two weeks until I see her!

Cute! My niece used to hum herself to sleep, she hummed when she ate, and she hummed when she concerted. Her parents had visions of her getting kicked out of the SAT testing for humming. I think she gave it up in kindergarten though.
ReplyDeleteShe's a genius! She's figured out how to use ultra-sonic waves to break up her food and thus save her teeth from premature breakdown. That or she's just nuts.

That was/is just too cute! I wonder if she'll do it when she's not home -- we'll soon see! I was also struck by how much Annika looks like you at that age -- it's uncanny. So who taught them to look at the box while eating?
ReplyDeleteI love how she's pounding on the table while waiting for her food. Then how annika translates for dan :). And then how Annika sits there eating and just watching to see what dan will do and then dan gives in and gives her that milk - disgusting.
