I think Dan has been waiting for this day since we knew we were going to have kids. Annika's team name is the Bumblebees, I think Dan is just happy the colors are black and yellow!
Why buy the professional pictures when you can just sneak in behind the photographer?! We sure are Dutch!!
We think Annika likes to play. However, the first game took a little coaxing. She had two "fastbreaks" but both times she kicked the ball a little wide. Ah, well. It's not about the score, it's about having fun, right? Right? Dan said I have to watch my sideline manner. I think I did just fine, I was encouraging! And he's the competitive one in the family! We are hoping for the next Mia Hamm, no pressure or anything.
Ironically, the little girl with glasses in front of Annika is in my opinion the best girl on the team. She is super tiny, but she makes up for it with fiestiness...she just runs and runs and runs. It is fun to watch them all run around like...well...a bunch of bees!!!!
ReplyDeleteso great. I was just surprised that you have full on Adidas uniforms for 5 year olds! Where the days of t-shirts and plastic shorts?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see some action shots!
LOVE IT! Big soccer fans over here-teamwork, agility, cardiovascular workout, stamina building... can you tell we have chosen L's first sport? Hope she agrees!
ReplyDeleteshe looks like a little stud in that last pictures, especially in front of the oh so realistic background!
ReplyDeletecan't wait for some video!!
Love it. I smile when I see Annika's pose in the goal. (hand on hip) I agree with Rachel.......what a uniform. Snazzy
ReplyDeleteI hope she enjoys it (and Dan, too)! She does look adorable -- I think she is the prettiest one on the team and am surprised she's not the tallest!!
ReplyDeleteRemember she will always be the youngest in her class, so she shouldn't be the tallest...at least that was Reb's goal for her for when she's in Jr. High :).
ReplyDeleteToo cute!!!! what's up with the fake background in the last pic? why not stand by the real thing? :)
ReplyDeletethose OP uniforms are a lot cooler than the t-shirts our kids get. :)
