Jumping to 6 months

I am interrupting my road trip adventures to talk about a sweet little someone who is already 6 months old!  Simon getting older is sneaking up on me.  I remember with Annika I could hardly wait until she was older.  With Simon, I just want him to stay little.  Maybe because we know--that is if our plans are the Lord's plans :)--Simon will be our last little one.  He's a good caboose to our train so to speak.  But that being said, I find myself saying already too often, "Well, that will be the last time we use ..." or "We won't be needing this anymore."  O.k. got to stop this before I get too nostalgic.  Goodness grief, the kid is only 6 months old, it's not like he's going off to college!! Even though I know that will come all too soon! Sigh.

So, where was I?  Yes, Simon is 6 months old and is a chunky little guy.  Here are his stats from his 6 month appointment:
Weight: 21 lbs. 10 oz (97%)
Height: 28 in (92%)

He's starting to sit up pretty well.
He's loving his solid foods and fills his bumbo out nicely--sometimes when I pick him up to take him out, the bumbo comes with him!

His sisters love to spoil him with attention.

And, when Grandma E was out he got his first "haircut."

Since he's already wearing 12 month clothes and see previous bumbo comment, we thought it's about time to start his workouts (you may recall when Landon was little enough to jump around in this thing):

I'm kidding about the workouts...but, that has got to be super for the thigh muscles.  Hmmm, I wonder if those things come in adult size?

  4. I saw that too Dan. He almost touches his knees when he jumps. I even heard a skid, kinda hard on the old toes. He looked like he was enjoying himself though.
    Enjoy your visit Momma Lous.

  6. I can't believe your little guy is six months already! He is adorable...time for him to come visit California!

Our pediatrician commented on our Rachel's "thunder thighs" at that age...at sixteen they were worried she was annorexic. No worries there!

Enjoy your beautiful family...you are so blessed :)

  7. He reminds me so much of what J1 was like at that age! He was my only baby that was big for his age! I get the caboose comment! J3 is a good caboose for us, too. xoxoxo
