Last week, I ventured to a fun little Farmstead that is really close to our house. All four kiddos by myself for 2 plus hours, and it was a great success! We got there right as it opened and before it got too hot. By the time we left at 11:30, it was already really busy.
Landon was in hog heaven when he was able to play on this contraption. Usually I steer clear of the sand (I know, I am a mean mommy!) because one in the sand is fine, but four in the sand is not so fine. I loosened up and now I am wondering how we can put one of these in our back yard.
I think I may have found a way to keep him occupied all this summer and until he's 13. :)
**Disclaimer to the video: Simon was right behind me the whole time, for those aunties and grandmas that were concerned. :)
We did see a few more things other than the sandbox.
Taryn and Landon checked out the main course for next Thanksgiving.
Simon tried his hand (literally) at feeding a goat.
All in all a good day at the Farmstead!

It is no Winterfeld farm, but great for the middle of OP!
ReplyDeleteI love Annika's tongue sticking out in the last picture ... the true sign of determination.
ReplyDeleteI love those little sand movers! I may or may not have been on one of those a while back when I took Maraike & Willem to a playground. :-)
Oh yeah!!!! Heck, you could keep me entertained for a good little while on that thing!!
ReplyDeleteUncle Mark
BTW - you should have edited out the bit when you say "I need to go find Simon..."!
ReplyDeleteI remember taking Wesley to a sprayground where he spent all of his time on a sand digger like that. I had to stop myself from saying "we are here for the water!" He had a great time.
ReplyDeleteI loved the comment "i need to go find simon" - they escape so quickly :)
ReplyDeleteaww, Landon NEEDS a digger! What does he say again? "pick it up and DUMP it out!"
ReplyDeletejust watched the video...I think Landon's hogging the digger...there's a kid lurking nearby who looks like he's gonna grab it the second Landon gets off! heehee
ReplyDeleteYup, that is what he says...scoop it up and DUMP IT OUT. He is really concentrating. Why is this for Uncle Mark? Is there an inside joke?
ReplyDeleteTaryn looks at A & S like, what are you doing? I sure wouldn't put my hand so close to that goat's mouth?
ReplyDeleteWe have REAL tractors he can drive here...come on out for a visit sometime :)
