Big Baby

I am going to start calling Simon "My Big Baby" from now on.  Not because he's big, o.k., well, he is huge (92% for weight and 97% for height), but because I am not going to accept the fact that my baby is two. No matter how old he gets he will always be my baby! On Saturday, we celebrated his second birthday with an intimate family affair.  January is a big month with 50% of our family birthdays so I won't take for granted that Simon is a-okay with a little birthday celebration (helps that he doesn't know the difference!).

By the video below you would think that our little guy is shy.  He started this little sideways glance at Grandma's house this past Christmas.  He likes to pretend that he doesn't like being the center of attention.

Then you watch this video and see his "shyness" is all a farce.  This kids loves being the center of attention!  He eats it all up!!  I guess you can say he has us all wrapped around his little finger. 

Simon is such a sweetie and, boy, can he be a little charmer.  He's not the most verbal of my kids, but he knows what he wants and how to get it. :)  He's the perfect caboose to the Our Plain Life Train!
