Snowed In

We got some snow and apparently more is on the way.  As much as I would like to complain, I really can't. Last year when we didn't get any, it just didn't feel right.  It's February, it's winter, we can handle some snow.  Umm, that's what happens in the Midwest. It's all good unless I have to drive in it (nobody wants that).

The kids got their fill and played in the snow both Thursday and Friday.  On Saturday they were over it a little.  We'll see how they react if we get more on Sunday night.  Apparently, another 6-10 inches is looming in the clouds to the West.  Bring it on!  I've got milk, toilet paper and cable.  I'm good to go.

I took these pictures on Thursday...in the midst of Snow-mageddon...it was coming down pretty good when the kids wanted to go out into it.
Simon didn't last too long

At this point there was more pulling than sledding

On  Friday, it was a great day to go out and play. But, because our street still wasn't plowed Dan couldn't get out to go to work.  Bummer. :)

Landon was totally worn out

Enjoy the snow days everyone! Or, for my SoCal family, enjoy your 70 degrees and sunny days! :)

Off to check out the forecast...

  1. Landon takes after Dan and can sleep anywhere!! Looks like a fun time despite the cold and snow. Yep, it's breezy and mid-60's today; looking forward to 80 next weekend. :)

  2. Wow that is some snow! Looks like the kids were having fun. Not anxious to head back to the snowy midwest but I know it is much needed moisture.

  4. Abbie...our side street wasn't done until mid Friday.

...and a second storm is on it's way today! That "bobsled" run is going to be great with a second snowfall!

  5. Love it that Taryn couldn't even hear you yelling under all those layers of warm hats and hoods! I guess I have been in California too long, but that doesn't look like that much fun after maybe one afternoon. ;)
