Oreo

We were on the schedule this past weekend to watch the 2nd grade pet, a cute little 2 month old bunny named Oreo. Thankfully, the teacher thought ahead and had us bring him home on Wednesday, just in case we were snowed in and couldn't get to him because the school was closed. Being that we ended up getting 12 inches of snow and two snow days, Oreo had an extended amount of love given to him. I think he will think that seventeen 2nd graders aren't as crazy as my four kids.

When he first came home with us, I had visions of this clip in my head from a Looney Tunes episode:

He went back to school today and I am sure he feels as though he's on vacation. Poor thing. We just thought he was so cute and needed as much loving as possible! He was bouncing around just fine this morning when he was brought back so I consider his visit a success. He gave us something to do these last few days while we were cooped up inside ...picking up little poop pellets for one thing. That little one has a serious metabolism!

As tempting as it is to consider getting a pet like this, I think we will still wait a few more years before we welcome any furry four legged friends into our family. I can barely handle the two-legged ones.
