My friend at His Treasured Possession did this on her facebook page, and I thought it would be fun to put it on my blog and see what kind of response I get...
The Book Game, here are the rules:
1) Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
2) Turn to page 56.
3) Find the fifth sentence.
4) Post that sentence in my comments. (If you have never posted a comment, you click on the comments link at the bottom of this post. If you don't have an account with google, that's o.k. Just use the "Name" option and type in your name, do required security word, and then "publish your comment").
5) Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

That was sitting right next to me at my desk (studying for my Candidacy Exam this summer already!) The next closest might have been either the Hebrew OT or Greek NT.
BTW - that is a great book for anybody interested in theology. It was originally written for high schoolers. I posted on about a passage from the preface last year, you can find that here if you are at all interested.

Seriously, the only book within reach right now is my planner (the old fashioned, "use a pen or pencil" kind (I still like that kind too!). So, then I sent Tate to find me one....that still keeps it random right? He brought me "Lowes Complete Home Decorating" and pg 56 only has 2 sentences so here's the second one:
