1 down, 19 more to go

At least I think she had 20 teeth? For the past few months we have be working on two loose teeth. Annika's bottom center teeth were wiggly, and finally today one of them just couldn't hold on any longer. This momma channeled her favorite 1st grade teacher (you CCS grads know who I am talking about) and twisted the little culprit out. Annika was quite surprised when I pulled my hand back and instead of a loose tooth there was just an empty space!

Here's a before shot...

...and here's the big girl, one tooth less.

Now, here's confession time. I got a bit choked up. My baby lost her first baby tooth! Please, mommies out there, please tell me I'm not the only one who cried when their oldest lost their first tooth!

  2. I'm sure I did, but it was so long ago I don't remember! So, how rich is the tooth fairy? :)

  3. I didn't graduate from CCS, but I was there with that special 1st grade teacher you are talking about - I will never forget her and her tooth certificates/holders!!

  4. I didn't cry. I was joyful b/c I easily got the bottom two teeth out after Chris couldn't do the job. It was sweet success. Plus it seemed a little surreal since he wasn't even five yet. And as Lydia says, "you just move front, back, side, side, twist, twist" and out they came.

  6. I cried, but I guess my emotions took over my brain because I forgot to be the "tooth fairy". At our house the tooth fairy comes for the 2nd tooth....since she forgot to arrive for the first tooth!

  7. Annika is so big kid I might cry! She was a toddler in the little nursery when I met her. And too pretty! Dan, get lots of guns!!! Landon, gow up fast so you can keep the boys away from your sister!
