If you had a free airline ticket to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies, where would you go? How about Kansas to visit us?! Yay! That's exactly where my brother, Mark, chose to go. Instead of flying somewhere exotic and exciting he chose to visit Our Plain Life in the plains of Kansas. Granted he did come from San Diego so it's not like he was looking for better weather. However, I think at some point in his visit the weather was better here than in SoCal.
It was a nice visit and we are so glad he came to hang out for a weekend. His nieces and nephews would agree.
In the course of the visit I asked Mark what his mornings were like. He said he usually gets up really early and then is able to drink his coffee and have some quiet time to study the Word, etc. As you can see that didn't really happen when he was at our house. For some reason 4 kids don't really make for very quiet mornings.
We were able to see some local sights and he even exprienced a light snow fall! Hope it was all worth giving up the free flight. Thanks Uncle Mark! Next time bring Auntie Michelle and we will be sure to hit up Oklahoma Joes!! :)
Great pics of Mark with your family! Glad that we all like to hang out with each other :).
ReplyDeleteLooks like Dan and Mark had enough to eat. Was that the leftovers?
ReplyDeleteWell, well, well. Simon is getting to meet his West Coast family without leaving KS! Cannot wait to meet him in a a few months! (((HUGS)))!
ReplyDeleteMom, we did have leftovers...but we would've made you proud in another department. Like Dad, we tried to sneak into the Sprint center downtown...unfortunately we were unsuccessful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photos Reb!! I had a great, albeit short, time in the KC area. Everything from coffee to pulled pork to robotics, how could we go wrong?
