Garden update

It's been a bit since I have updated you on Dan's garden. Since March, the plot has thickened (har, har). With all the rain we have been getting, the garden is doing really well. Dan has been tenderly helping the bean shoots along and has put up the wire cages for the tomatoes. We have already had one harvest of lettuce and should probably pick some more. The squirrels and rabbits have been eyeing these veggies like it's buffet night at Ceasar's Palace. Hopefully our chicken wire will deter any wanna be Peter Rabbits. I had to convince Dan that an electric fence would not be a bright idea. Plus, we do have small children.

  2. Ooo, garden envy. I JUST planted mine yesterday. A bit late, but better than never.

We have a 'friendly' neighborhood rabbit...I'd better get a fence up stat.

  3. I'm jealous, our lettuce isn't doing so well. And we don't have rabbits, we have slugs and they are QUICK! But our peas are at least standing a chance this year. Looks good guys, but I'd go ahead and put in the electric fence. :)

  4. I just planted some beans on Saturday and wondered how the garden was doing. Looks good. Your fence looks a bit neater than mine. I ran out of poles and had to improvise. I will not be putting a picture on any blog. BUT it will keep the rabbits out. I agree with Mike...put the electric fence up. Zap those bunnies.

  6. I'm so jealous. My "topsy turvy" tomato plant isn't even doing very well....California is not the place to try to grow vegetables.
