Favorite Things February #14: My hubby

Ahh, isn't that sweet?! My hubby is one of my favorite things and I did, cheesily (is that a word?) save him for Valentine's Day. He is my favorite for so many reasons...let me count the ways (or at least a few of them):

I love how goofy we are with each other. Really, I think our friends would think SO differently of us, if they really truly knew how we are when it's just the two of us.

I love how passionate he is about our family and protecting us. Not that he stands by the front door with a shotgun waiting for trespassers, but its in the way he protects our time together and what we are willing to invest in as a family. With every decision he makes he thinks about how this will effect our family most of all. He's not afraid to make an unpopular decision if it's better for our family.

I love his sense of humor and the ability to make those around him feel comfortable. Hopefully, if you know him personally you have experienced this.

I love that he loves his Savior and it shows.

I love his desire to be the Spiritual Leader in our house. When it seems that this idea isn't "en vogue" he is willing to stand up to the plate and be held accountable. We need more men like this...it would truly change the world as we know it.

I love that he loves our kids and is so hands on. The best sound in the world is the sound of the garage door opening at around 6 every weeknight followed by the squeals of "Daddy!" coming from all areas of the house. My man is home and my family is together. My nest is full.

I love that he loves me, and, trust me, that can be a hard job sometimes. :)

Dan thank you for all you do to make me feel like everyday is Valentine's.

From, Your Valentine

Here's a little clip of after dinner playtime with daddy-this girls call this game "Roar." Don't know where he get's the energy.
(No children, animals, or furniture were harmed during the making of this film):

  2. Wonder where Dan gets that game from. Although not exactly like his Dad (don't remember the couch flopping). Neat comments Reb. Thanks for loving my boy.
