Favorite Things February #22: Some more chocolate!
I feel like all my favorite things are food! I have such a major sweet tooth, so most things with chocolate or sugar in them are good to me! I think for every season there is some sort of candy or sweet thing that I would call my favorite. Fall we have mellowcreme pumpkins, of course. Winter there is (oh, where to begin?!) Christmas cookies, almond roca, fudge, pies, you get the idea. Summer is ice cream-cookies and cream please! And for Spring, there is the original (no peanut butter or caramel) Cadbury Cream Egg. Mmm. I wish these little soft fondant filled pieces of heaven came in a carton of a dozen. Actually, it's probably better that they don't!

Cadbury eggs are definitely on my favorites list. However, you called the original eggs "nougat filled." Is that really the case? When I think of nougat I think of a 3 Muskateers bar. I guess I don't know what nougat really is technically speaking.
ReplyDeleteYou're right Mark! I looked on the box, and it's actually fondant filled...I made the necessary correction! :) Nougat is in a 3 musketeer bar. Also yummy.
ReplyDeleteNice! Now what is it called when the fondant is old and happens to be more hard and tacky instead of soft and gooey? I hate when I get those eggs!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about most sugar and sweets - but these eggs I just can't stomach. Now what do you suppose that flourescent yellow stuff is?
ReplyDeleteI remember I used to have several of those over the Easter season, but I can only have one every few years now. I feel like I get a cavity every time I eat one! I can finish off a 5-pack of Peeps in no time though.
ReplyDeleteoh how you'll love it here.....cadbury is IT here! You can get those yummy eggs all year round!
ReplyDeleteI am sure that there are lots of people that love these eggs like you do; hovever, I am not one of them. I can't even tell you what the inside reminds me of. I can assure you it's not good.
ReplyDeleteOne of our childrens' favorite memories of visiting Uncle Bill and Aunt Sue in England was touring the Cadbury plant. Since Bill worked for Cadbury for many years our house always had a supply of fun chocolate. Thanks for bringing back a fun memory.
