Favorite Things February!

I have been meaning for awhile to come up with some sort of Favorite Things Friday but just haven't been on the ball enough. So, I decided to do a whole month of my Favorite Things! Aren't you just excited?! The big goal is I will have to come up with 28 things (thankfully February is a short month!) and then I will post a new favorite thing everyday. I think it will be pretty fascinating, don't you?! So be sure to come back for your daily dose of Reb's Faves. Please remember that these aren't in any particular order...just things that I find really useful or just make me smile. If you want to join along, just post your blog address in the comment section!

Now onto my first favorite thing, or actually it's one really sweet little girl who celebrated a birthday yesterday.
Taryn celebrate the big 3 yesterday. I can't believe it was a year ago that I wrote this post, but sure enough here we are.

Spunk doesn't even begin to describe what Taryn is made of. She's not afraid to tell you how she feels about you...for better or worse. Please try not to be offended by a 3 year old. At one moment she's asking you to go away and the next she's telling you that you are her best friend. She's independent but is always on the prowl for an open lap. If you are willing to read her some of her favorite books, she'll be your biggest fan...for the next 5 minutes at least. She loves to dress up in her pretty princess dress or in her favorite "zip-up" p.j.'s.

For her birthday she requested a pink cake with a pink candle. Did she want sprinkles? No. Did she want mommy to put anything on top of the cake? No. Pink with a pink candle. O.k. easy enough. She also requested to wear her princess dress. Nobody should be denied the opportunity to wear a princess dress on her birthday! Happy Birthday big girl! You will always be one of my favorite things!

(Notice in the above picture, the princess dress was traded in for the ever faithful "zip up" p.j.s.)
